Ingredients
250 g/9 oz/1 cup Patna or basmati rice
750 ml 1,1/4 pts/3 cups water
15 ml/1 tbsp ghee
Instructions
Place the water, ghee, and rice in a pan and boil over medium heat. Heat should be decreased now, and also cover the pan and cook it for fifteen minutes. Any left water should dry it off on high heat. Leave it for approximately five minutes after turning off the heat, and before the serving. Now you can separate the grains with a fork and serve them hot with curries, pickles, dal, and yogurt.
